Well, not that I'd let something like that stop me, I think you're missing something. Ben's marriage happened in the 25 years that Chris spent floating through space. Why would Ben leave his best friend out in the void while he settled down on the asteroid belt? See episode 69.

I realize the whole thing is casually allegorical, but I'm starting to find it odd that this whole relationship must have taken place when Ben didn't yet have an erogenous circuit. Yes, there are other possible foundations for a marriage, but for this one in particular?
